Wool on Sundays – 161 (Two Small Knits)

Welcome to another Wool on Sundays!

I’m afraid it’s not the most interesting as I’ve shown my recent finishes already but here they are anyway :)

You may remember that, last month, I was waiting for my local wool shop to phone with some more of the pink they had said they would order. After a week, I decided to get some online and after two weeks, having finished the cardigan but thinking I would use it for something else as they had been kind enough to order it, although I had still heard nothing from the local shop, I went in to see if it had arrived. An assistant investigated and found the order still hadn’t been placed. By now it was almost a month since my original visit to the local shop and they charge nearly double the online price so I know where I will order yarn in future!

Having finished those two knits, I decided to knit the blue jumper again in a larger size for the six year old soon-to-be-nephew of my daughter. I still have the sleeves and neckband to do but I’m not in a big rush to get this finished as I think it will be too big for now and, hopefully, the Summer is coming.

The next Wool on Sundays will be on Sunday May 5th.

You are inspiring me to pick up either a crochet hook or knitting needles again, though I’m not nearly as gifted as you are. I make jewelry and get a lot of satisfaction from it, but it lacks the relaxing rhythm of yarn work. Your pieces are fabulous!

Such a pretty shade of pink, but what a shame you local store can’t get their act together. I haven’t done any knitting for ages, but with autumn here, no humidity dur ing the day, and cooler nights, I’m thinking it’s time to pull my needles out.

Goodness me, it seems on-line is the way to go. The pink cardie is pretty and as for the chunky, blue aran….that has my heart beating a little faster.
