Wool on Sundays – 76 (something old, something new)

In the Makery, there is a Wicker basket.

(Which was a recent, happy find in a local charity shop)

And in that basket is a selection of vintage linens that have been collected over a long time and now have a home of their own.

In the desk in the Makery there is an old sweet box – so old that I expect the nut pralines were enjoyed by someone long before I was born – and in that box is my collection of ‘specialist’ threads, ancient and modern!

Not wanting to bore you with that blanket-in-progress for a third Wool on Sundays running,

I decided to experiment a little with an idea that, lately sprang into my mind so I selected some dollies and some thread and hooks…

And joined them in a fairly random and very inexpert fashion…
into a new scarf :)

If you are working on any yarn projects, I’d love you to link up with WOOL ON SUNDAYS. The rules as usual are: 1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings or photos – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn. 2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics. 3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up. 4). Visit anyone else who links. Wishing you a happy week :)

Oooh…I have gone weak at the knees at the sight of your basket of lovely vintage linens and doilies. Brilliant idea of yours to whip up some pretties into a lovely scarf. Though, the question needs to be asked…..”only one basket of vintage linens???” =)
