Started – something quilty at last – using up some leftover backing from this quilt and an odd sized piece of sheeting.
In Progress – Anyone who makes jokes along the lines of ‘the worst Winter I ever had was the Summer I spent in the UK!’ should try a Winter visit! I finished off the felt birds and spent best part of yesterday trying to get decent photos of them for my etsy shop… but it was an epic fail! The light is just so awful. With a fair bit of fiddling about with the exposure on the computer I managed to get them looking not too bad but now the colours are not accurate enough so this this is still a work in progress :(
So, a touch depressed but not defeated I decided to do a sewing room makeover. The quilty project at the top should help (more to follow on this), I finally hung up my lovely Bee quilt…
…and yarn bombed the piano :)
What have you been up to?
I’m linking this post with Lee at Freshly Pieced for WIP Wednesday.

Bad time of year for good photos – so dreary – but they look great :)

I got a daylight lamp from my hubby for xmas (occasionally he gets gifts spot on) and that has made all the difference in my photos!

Oh nice! I love red and white. Should be something very cool when you're all done!

Love the polka dots!

That quilt is looking so quilt.
I believe that the weather can have a big influence on your mental state. I hope the sun starts shining bright again soon.

“cute”, not “quilt”

Tell me about the weather!!! I love those birds.

There is something very special about a red/white quilt, I'm intrigued! The birds look great, especially with the heart too, and the bee quilt is one of my favourite bee quilts in blog land, lovely to see it again x

Your red and white quilt will definitely brighten up these grey, murky days. Hopefully all this miserable weather means that we have a good summer ahead :)

The bee quilt is amazing, and looking forward to seeing the new red and white project too :-)

I'm having severe photography issues too! Nice to see your quilt up, mine is still in a drawer with three other bee/swap quilt tops *shame*

The birds look great. The sewing room quilt is lovely as well.

I hope the sun shines there soon. The birds look beautiful even in the bad light.
I vacationed in the UK twice in winter and I was threatened by the immigration officer of declining my entry because I said I left warm California to enjoy some winter there. Crazy me took my husband all they way to Orkney :)
