MAKING CHRISTMAS, 2013, WEEK 11

MAKING CHRISTMAS 2013

Welcome to MAKING CHRISTMAS, 2013, WEEK 11.

I had originally thought about posting a tute today but I think we’ve all got plenty enough to finish off without starting anything new right now! If not, there is, of course, a wonderful collection of tutes and projects on the Pinterest board. I think I’ll have to start making for next Christmas in January – there are so many things I’ve seen during this Hop that I’ve book marked to make! Here are a couple of things that caught my eye from last week. Clicking on the pictures should take you to the right blog post.

I’ve pretty much finished up my list, now, but I can’t show a couple of things until after Christmas and my final updated list looks like this:

THINGS I WANT TO MAKE BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Crow ornaments for Halloween – 3 FINISHED
Finish felt bird and heart decorations – to do for Easter instead!
Rainbow Hare Rolls – 4 FINISHED
Pouches – 5 FINISHED
Cushion Covers – 2 FINISHED
Something to be decided with my son’s logo on – Something different (secret) finished!
Knitted Scarf – FINISHED
Knitted Shawlette – started and undone… and re-started
Wall Quilt – added FINISHED
Secret Gift (bird organiser) – added FINISHED
Tea Towels – added 4 FINISHED
Felted knitting mittens – added 3 PAIRS FINISHED
Winter Doll- added FINISHED
Birthday Gift – added FINISHED
Mittens (not felted) – 1 PAIR FINISHED
Quilt – FINISHED
Secret Gift – FINISHED

Good luck with anything you’ve got left to finish up this week and CONGRATULATIONS to everyone who has joined in for making so many wonderful things. And a big THANK YOU to everyone for all your inspiration and encouragement. I’m sure I wouldn’t have made nearly as much without all your friendly comments :)

On January 11th 2014 – A winner will be randomly selected from the link ups for a prize.

KRISTY from Quiet Play and ALYCE from Blossom Heart Quilts have kindly offered a copy of their wonderful Christmas patterns – Sew Seasonal/Ornamental. Soma from Whims and Fancies has generously offered two stunning paper pieced patterns and I will give a yard of fabric – probably four fat quarters. I think I’ll wait to see who wins and try to choose something I think they’ll like.

In the meantime, MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I'm glad I joined you in. I actually managed to make 3 more cushion covers but I'll share that later on since I already gave it to my mom without taking a picture :-) Merry Christmas!

Thank you so much for this Blog Hop/Linky party. It has been so fun and not at all stressful! Thank you also for featuring my Lollipops and recycled wine boxes this week. Wishing you a fantastic Christmas and a very special New Year!
