At the moment I’m in York for a few days. Mr RH and I have come to help our youngest daughter move into her house for next year and bring her home for the holiday. Our hotel claims to have amazing internet but this is the first time it’s connected at all and it’s so slow, you may never get to read this!
Before we came I did some machine quilting on the Free two Bee quilt to hold it together so I can add some hand quilting (if I have time) whilst I’m here.
I’ve been trying to use organic lines, which I haven’t tried before and I hope will match the eclectic, evolving nature of the quilt. I’ve also done some grid quilting this month, which was new to me as well, so I’m going to link this post (if I can!) with Fiona.
Apart from that I trialled a block for my Bee month, July, in the ‘Scrappy? Sew Be It’ bee. The block pattern was very kindly sent to me by my bee friend Jeanne at Grey Cat Quilts who designed it herself.
What do you think of this, using bright solids for the stars and alternating whites and texts in the Spiderswebs?
