A lovely week of Finishes!

a peak inside
Well! It seems I’ve officially lost the pot (and the plot, you may think).
So a little something for Ladies Day!
front (+ red/pink binding because it was just a bit too low volume without it)

But I’m resisting wearing it in case the teapot never turns up and I decide to gift it. Did your Grandma used to tell you off for wearing tea cosies on your head too?

back (with a border because my linen wasn’t wide enough to follow the pattern)

And I’m off to join the Zakka Along – my very first SAL.

And the really good news is that I recently learned my ‘scraps’ were ‘crumbs’ but now I see they really are scraps after all.
This week I also finished an oak tree Jewellery Roll (blogged here) and my Trip Along (blogged here) so, all in all, a lovely week of finishes.
Edited to add: I’ve also just finished the tea bag pouch!

If you’re reading this on on Friday, Happy Solstice!

Good news if you’re in Australia and, if you’re with me in the Northern Hemisphere, may the rest of your days this year be brighter and sunnier even though they’ll be shorter :)

Pretty Tea Cozy. Funny but I've never used one – or even thought about using one. So I didn't know what it was a first. :-) I had a friend that just kept the pot on low all day. This seems a better solution.

super cute tea cozy! I agree that the binding really makes the whole thing stand out! You should link this up with Needle and Thread Thursday- my new link party for quilting/sewing. It is open through today.

Janine, I think your tea cosy is adorable! Looking at the Ladies Day hats, though, I think it might be a little conservative. Maybe if you glued a tea pot to the top . . .

Stumbled by via LR Stitched blog. Tea-Cosy on the head made me laugh! It seems like such a natural act of nature-to pick one up and try it on! Especially yours! Your project turned out SO cute!

Your tea cozy is just fantastic, Janine! I have yet to even start mine, as the directions look a little sparse to me! Hopefully I'll give it a go this week-end.
