Fresh Finished Friday!

Welcome to Rainbow Hare on another Fresh Sewing Day! I’m keeping up my resolution to link up with Lynne at Lily’s Quilts every month of 2013 – so only ten more to go!

This month, as you can see from my mosaic, I’ve made one sewing case and four bee blocks and I quilted two bed quilts. I never thought I’d quilt two bed quilts in a month! That’s two thirds of my Finish-A-Long  list ticked off for this quarter and this Trade Winds is today’s Friday Finish.
Trade Winds 96″ x 96″

So at last the big Taaaaa-Daaaaa!!!

I had planned on stunning garden photos but now the snow is gone and we just have mud, mud and more mud so inside it is.

pinwheels arranged as butterflies with a simple border of square blocks.
the binding really isn’t as garish as it looks in this photo…

After the wonderful response when I asked what I should use to bind this quilt, I decided on grey because I didn’t have enough coordinating scraps. But then I realised that I’d have soooo many joins I decided to go for a solid and this was the only matching one I could find.

And then to celebrate my finish and getting my beloved quarter inch foot back on the machine I decided to start something completely different. Are you tripping along?

my sofa is pretending to be a design wall…
Happy Sewing!

What a beautiful finish! I do like the binding that you used. Oh and don't you love the quarter inch foot? I am so thankful to the man for selling me that when I bought my machine. Love the colors on your next quilt!
