Happy April!
At last I have a little ta-da – the seven magical wands now have bells and ribbons.

But the real magic is Spring, painting everything a shade greener every day, filling the trees with blossom and decorating the hedgerows and woods with primroses and bluebells.

After reading my last blog post…

…Mrs Hare insisted she had been thinking nothing of the sort.
Given that poor Mr RH now has sciatica, though, and is not only out of action for all gardening and decorating but needs to be driven quite literally hundreds of miles a week in the course of his work (not to mention hospital visits), whatever thoughts she may or may not have had about flying pigs would, I think, have been justified.
In the same vein, you might think that whatever thoughts I may or may not have had about holding the most spectacular party would surely have been abandoned or scaled back. Luckily, Elizabeth’s Yes and… has saved the day so far. I’m not sure that I’m following the technique as described. I’m more saying, ‘Yes I will drive all day and I will cut some ribbons,’ or ‘Yes I will weed a border and I will sew on the initial letters’. Anyway, I am making sustained progress, albeit in baby steps!

In other news I was lucky enough to win a prize in the SAHRR. I won a choice of any two Devoted Quilter PDF patterns from Leanne’s Pattern Shop and I have chosen her ‘8 Point Meadow Quilt Pattern’ and her ‘Pinwheel Irish Chain’ Pattern. I was very surprised but also delighted to win and I’d like to thank Leanne @ Devoted Quilter for her generosity and all the hosts who organised the SAHRR. I’m looking forward to making these quilts as soon as I have time :)
Happy Sewing!

(If you subscribe to my blog by email, firstly, thank you :) Secondly, I really recommend you view the web version because otherwise you end up with a random scramble of photos and I don’t know how to stop that happening).
