SAHRR 2026 (Round 5)

Happy Saturday!

For Round 5 Gail is prompting and she said, “This week, we’re going to use 2 colours and you can make anything you like, but you’re going to use 2 colours.  If you want, you can add in a neutral, which some would say is 3 colours”.

I added some more blue and white squares as sashing to give some space between my rounds and my SAHRR round this week is three simple stripes in two/three colours: teal and yellow with white spots. I agree that it needs a good press but I’m expecting a downpour any minute and this is a finished-is-better-than-perfect week.

It’s been such a quick, easy round it almost feels like cheating but I’m so glad to be ready to link up with Quilting Gail early in the week, for once, that I’ve recovered my year’s resolution to be Merry and Bright, which has been fading a bit of late.

Happy Sewing!

(If you subscribe to my blog by email, firstly, thank you :) Secondly, I really recommend you view the web version because otherwise you end up with a random scramble of photos and I don’t know how to stop that happening).

It’s a beautiful happy quilt, makes a gal feel as if the sun is shining even when the snow is falling. Thank you.

I love your bright and happy quilt! Every round adds to the last one. And there is no quilt police so there is no cheating. You can’t break the rules if there aren’t any!

Finished is better than perfect needs to be a quilt motto engraved on my brain.
Love how you showed us the stages — of course, we’ll all be copying that on our next posts.
    It’s looking great!
