Welcome to Wool on Sundays!

Since my last post was so very brown, I’m glad to have something a bit more colourful today.
Last weekend, my little grandson came and the brown jumper fits but only just so I’ve made him a bigger one.

I love nordic yoked designs for Winter but I couldn’t find anything nice in a 6-12 month size so I cobbled one together using the First Snow Jacket and Seiland Socks patterns (both by Drops Designs) and a deal of winging it. I used Drops Merino Extra Fine (blue) and Drops Karisma (cream).
I have also nearly finished my quilt for the Endeavourers reveal so I’ll be back with that on November 1st.
In the meantime, I wish you a Happy Halloween.

I have no new makes for that but here are some crows from my post, Murder, She Sewed… The terrifying thing about that post isn’t the crows. It’s that I made them and blogged about it nine years ago! How did the time go so fast?

I have great admiration for those who knit; you make such lovely things! I’ve tried knitting (my first attempt at 3 or 4 years old), but all I can manage is a simple garter(?) stitch. Anyway, the jumper is so nice! I got very excited when I saw your crows, since I am in a sew along, making a crow. I just finished his feathers and tail. I’m thoroughly enjoying it!

What a gorgeous jumper! Hooray for finishes *waves pompoms* I don’t recognise the crows so I’m off to read all about them.
