The weather has certainly taken a turn here since the beginning of the month and every day we have woken to frost on the grass and ice on the cars. The Ripple blanket and wood burner are really coming into their own and, as a handmade gift, for daughter # 2, a crochet hot water bottle cover seemed like an ideal quick make. I did offer to make one for son # 3 (they are twins) but it was declined!
Then, as machine sewing seems rude at a birthday party weekend, I thought I’d better start knitting something!

Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up. 4). I bet that husband of yours is grateful for your lovely afghan woolly now. How pretty is your daughter’s hot water bottle cosy and the flower is just the perfect finishing touch. What is it with some males…..they would rather freeze than be comforted by pretty woollies….oh well, their loss!! Enjoy a lovely week in front of that wood burner, Janine. I don’t envy you, your icicles and frigid conditions, though in saying that I am sitting in front of my open fire right now….’tis a wee bit chilly, but at least there are no stalactites dripping on me. =)

I do believe that that is the prettiest hot water bottle cover I’ve ever seen – so snuggly and warm on the outside – AND on the inside :)

Lovely hot water bottle cover you made, Janine, and it looks like you’re working on some gloves too. They look great!
