Start with a circle…
Welcome to another Wool on Sundays already! When I was a child, the grown ups used the expression ‘not in a month on Sundays’ to mean pretty much never but now I feel as if it’s Sunday every other day! They also used to say ‘Time goes faster when you get old.’ :(
I enjoyed hearing everyone’s thoughts about yarn bombing last week. I think the general consensus was that we all love to see a good yarn bomb but some of us do have reservations about wastefullness – and concerns about rain. Also, last week a couple of people asked about how I made the crochet purse.
I was hoping to do a tute and I have made another one and taken photos but I haven’t had time to write it up yet, what with gardening and a diversion into EPP hexies, but I’ll do that as soon as I can and put a link here.
[Edited to add: The Small Crochet Purse Tutorial is now available here]
Here is a sneak peek:
Have you had time for any yarn bombing or useful making this week?

Such a beautiful little purse and a tute is a wonderful idea. I do remember that phrase a ‘month of Sundays’ too! 😀

My mum was always saying “not in a month of Sundays”. Love, love, love your little purse. A tute sounds like an excellent idea. When I learn the art of crocheting, I just might be in need of those instructions. =)

I like Not IN A MONTH OF SUNDAYS a lot better than…When Pigs Fly…or…Talk To The Hand. Once in A Blue Moon is OK.
I bought a purse frame..the first step to this purse. Now I’m going to look for yarn that I am not using in other projects that were supposed to use my stash but have caused me to buy even MORE yarn, lol. I think this little purse would make perfect gifts for anyone. Definitely a great gift to keep on hand for unexpected Christmas visitors. I love it so much. Thank You!
