A Little Bit Scraptastic…

IMG_0313

Its been a long time since I linked up with Scraptastic Tuesday but yesterday I decided to have a sorting out of fabric. I probably don’t have enough scraps to make a whole quilt so this might end up as a large cushion or small throw. I’ll have see how it grows. I’ve also never done EPP hexies before. If they are addictive as everyone says, I may have to start adding some non-scrap fabrics. In the meantimes I have plenty to be going on with…

They ARE addictive. I save scraps and a couple of times a year convert them to little hexes. I hope to have enough before I die to make a quilt. If not, my daughter has instuctions, lol.

Janine I haven’t the patience for EPP but admire everyone who does! Looks like a great beginning. Thank you for linking up to #scraptastictuesday!

Those scrappy hexies are looking very cute, Janine! Since I started quilting with a US queen size hexie quilt which I am still working on, I am afraid I have lost my addiction toward hexie projects. I should have started with something small :)

I didn’t get what all the fuss was about epp and hexies…that is, until I tried it! Oh boy, now I’m hooked. I started small, making hexie flowers and appliqueing them to 10″ squares…that quilt top is almost done. Have I stopped making hexies??? Nope. Now I’m starting to cut all my scraps into hexie sized pieces…

Your hexies look great, your stack will grow on you before you know it ;-)
