A very Happy Mothers Day to everyone celebrating it today and welcome to Wool on Sundays 99 3/4 :)
This is Wool on Sundays 99 3/4 for two reasons.
1. I know this week really should be Wool on Sundays 100 but I think the hundredth link up needs a special celebration – perhaps a party or a giveaway – and, having taken the plunge and moved here from blogger only during the last couple of days, I’m not quite organised yet.
2. I’m not a huge Harry Potter fan but writing this post, here, seems a bit like Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross Station. I feel like I’ve done the running into the wall between the platforms part but I’m not yet on the Hogwarts Express. I’m still finding my way around and I’m not altogether sure what worked in the transfer. Old links to http://www.rainbowhare.com seem to work fine but I see the wordpress.com address in my browser search bar? And the Wool on Sundays badge now goes to a blogger re-direct page so I have made a new one (in the sidebar), which I hope will come straight here in one step but I think all the old inlinkz links are gone forever. I will put a wordpress version of inlinkz at the bottom of this post and see if anyone manages to link up! Also, I would be very grateful if anyone can tell me whether I’ve become a noreply blogger or if anyone notices anything out of the ordinary.
Yarnwise, I have news of two cowels.
I have finished another mohair one, this one is smaller than last time and I used a different block and edging pattern. Fortunately, a giraffe, who came at Christmas, was available to model.
And my granny square cowel, which I lost almost before I got to wear it anywhere was returned to me yesterday. I had left it in a pub when we had lunch a while ago and I had phoned them and spoken to someone who said it wasn’t there. Yesterday we visited again and I asked on the off chance and it was safely under the bar. I’m very happy to have it back.

The white mohair cowl is so beautiful and looks so soft. However, mohair and I don’t get along well. The colorful granny is lovely as well. So glad you got it back. This is the first year that I noticed that Mother’s Day is celebrated on a different day in other countries…I don’t get out much, lol.
Have a great day,
xx, Carol

Beautiful cowls, Janine. I used the link but don’t know if it successfully created an actual link after your post, as I can’t see it.

Happy Mother’s Day to you!! The flowers look beautiful, I love the photos you took of them. So glad to hear that you got the cowl back. The mohair cowl looks so soft. If I ever use mohair to make one, I will have to hide it from my cats :)

Your new home looks great (I came from Feedly so that’s transferred okay, without me doing anything – hurray!) – don’t know if you’re a no-reply blogger but if you leave a comment on my blog then I’ll let you know!
