Wool on Sundays – 93 (Wool, Water and taking a plunge)

HAPPY NEW YEAR! And welcome to another a year of Wool on Sundays! I hope you had a lovely break and I’m really looking forward to catching up with everyone’s yarn projects. My crochet blanket for the Winter is slowly growing – too slowly, I fear, for this Winter, which according to the forecasters is due to start next week…and I have nothing else woolly to show you.

The marathon to finish before Christmas quilt is also growing slowly and, looking at these photos, I realise I seem to have plunged into a brights-with-a-grey-background colour palette. Luckily they are destined for different houses or it would all end up a bit matchy-matchy.

Beyond the walls of the Makery, my camera has gone to Shri Lanka…

Where, I hear, it is so hot that getting wet is quite agreeable.

And I went with my phone to Scarborough – where it was less so…

But that was just a splash.
My plunge was to join the #30DaysWithaK Challenge. You can check it out here and sign up, why not?
I’m hoping the rest of the month with involve more writing, more wool and less water :)

As usual, of course, I’d love you to link up. The rules are: 1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings or photos – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn. 2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics. 3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up. 4). Visit anyone else who links. Wishing you a week, a year, a lifetime with more wool than water :)

Happy new year to you, too. Great photos. I always work on winter things in winter and summer things in summer and find that they never get finished in time to be useful, so this year I have planned to start knitting well in advance of winter. I'm going to start knitting myself a jumper this month so that I may actually have it finished in time for me to wear for winter (June).

It sounds as if that camera of yours has had some exciting adventures over the last few weeks. Your crochet blanket is looking lovely. Mmmm….that #30DaysWithaK Challenge sounds interesting. Look forward to visiting Wool on Sundays again this year, it never fails to delight.
