Wool on Sundays – 47 (What would you choose?)

Image from the Graphics Fairy

Welcome to Wool on Sundays 47!

To celebrate one year of Wool on Sundays and to say thank you to everyone who has supported this weekly series, this week we are going to have a small giveaway…but what to give away?
I know some of you would be happy with yarn but I also know that some you, who kindly stop by, are really sewists and quilters and have no use for knitting supplies…
So next week I will get Mr Linky to choose one comment on this post and whoever is selected can choose whether they would like 4 balls of yarn, 4 fat quarters of fabric, 8 squares of felt or a handmade item and I will try to fit in with the winner’s colour choice if I can.
For one chance of winning, leave a comment telling me if you would like yarn, fabric, felt or a handmade item and saying what your favourite colours are.
If you have commented on previous wool on Sundays posts, you can leave a second comment.
And if you have linked up your yarn projects with Wool on Sundays, you can leave a third comment.

a peek from the week
And if you have yarn projects to share today, of course I’d love you to link up with WOOL ON SUNDAYS. The rules as usual are: 1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings or photos – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn. 2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics. 3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up. 4). Visit anyone else who links. Wishing you a happy week :)
Good luck in the Giveaway!

I really enjoy your Wool on Sundays and have enjoyed everybody's posts. I've learnt about dyeing and spinning yarn and seen really colourful knits, not to mention beautiful bags. Thank you for hosting this link party

Love your sneak peek from your week….'tis a pretty shawl. So happy to have happened along your lovely blog all those months ago! You have put many a smile in my week! Pretty fabrics….pinks, blues, mauves would be rather nice, though if per chance you were to gift one of us with a gloriously coloured crochet blanket made with your clever hands, then I wouldn't say no ! ;) Just kidding!! A lovely li'l 'pretty' made by you would be perfect as well. Just surprise me!

Cool! Considering I can comment 3 times, I think I will choose 3 different options :)

For comment one I will choose yarn. My favourite colour is blue, but I'm also a big fan of brown, red and green.

And who wouldn't love a handmade item? Blue tops my favourite list, and I have always like the colour combo of blue and brown, or blue and orange. I'm really starting to like orange a lot, actually, I forgot to add that to my list of favourite colours earlier :)

Thanks for the chance to win.

Congratulations on a year of Wool on Sundays! I would love to be a knitter but I have yet to finish a jumper that I started several years ago. Hope you keep up the Link Party so that I can link it up if I ever get it done :) If my comment is picked I would be delighted with any of your options Janine!

I've never participated in Wool on Sundays as I have tried knitting so many times and completely failed! However i love reading your blog :-) My option would be something handmade :-)

Wow a whole year Janine, it has flown by although I must admit sometimes it seems like an age when I have been waiting for your next post. We all really appreciate all your hard work and generosity '~) IF I am lucky enough to win, although I would love a surprise from you, do you think you could donate the prize to a charity of your choice instead? As you're so generous already I just think i would feel a bit guilty getting something from you when you have already given so much x Good luck with all you do and congratulations on your 1 year anniversary '~)

Well I do believe I'll happily enter and perhaps win the fabric or the felt – thank you for the chance!

Happy anniversary! I come for the eye candy, and am never disappointed :) My mom and her mom were both yarnies (knitting and crocheting) – it wasn't a skill I managed to pick up, but thankfully I was able to make friends with fabric and sewing machines, LOL. I see so many gorgeous yarn projects and wish I had the time and talent to create them myself! In the interim though, I'm happy to wear winter gloves my grandma knit me long ago (over 30 years) :)

Congratulations, Janine! I am so happy to have something to link-up on the one-year-anniversary post. That's all I really wanted to say, but I wouldn't pass up a handmade collectable made by you :)

I just can't get the hang of knitting, but am slowly getting the hang of crochet! (Well one stitch anyway, a little old lady at church still has to cast on for me!). So the offer of a hand knitted *Anything* from such an accomplished knitter is not to be sneezed at!!!!
