I’m sorry to report a week of virtually no progress. I decided to try making a poufe with my ex-cowl from last week but I haven’t begun it yet and, as you can see, my latest attempt at a colourful shawl hasn’t got very far. At the moment we have a rainstorm with thunder and lightening and the colours in my picture were so dire, I am showing you my small beginning in black and white but this starting triangle is really the same green (indeed the very same ball of yarn) as Knit’s jumper in the Granny Square stories. Although not strictly yarn related, I have finally made a Granny Square page (at the top of my blog) and now I have a framework set out I can see that too is quite a big plan with less accomplished than I’d hoped. It really seems to be the story of my making and blogging, this year :( Hopefully things will turn around and I’ll get on a making spree soon!
How has your week been?
Have you got any yarn projects to share? If so, I’d love you to link up with WOOL ON SUNDAYS. The rules as usual are:
1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings or photos – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn.
2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics.
3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up.
4). Visit anyone else who links.
Wishing you a happy week :)

Ooops….I shall try again….That's a wee bit exciting, Janine….a whole page devoted to Granny Square and her delightful Knit and Purl! Wonderful! As a gal with rather grandiose plans at times…it is so much more fun to have big plans than none at all! Your lovely colourful pouffe will look rather snazzy with your colourful shawl. Looking forward to seeing your new shawl……you have a whole week!!! ;)))

Hello there! I think sometimes we are too hard on ourselves. This creating thing still takes work, and sometimes it just doesn't happen ; )

At first glance I thought that was grey wool and that it looked very pretty.
The Granny Square page is a great idea. I've been enjoying the stories as they come, don't feel pressure to push yourself to make one per month – enjoy the process :)

Hi Janine, Life sometimes gets in the way of important crafting! We have been away from home so had no time to blog but I have finished my Coastal ripple blanket so I'll be doing a big reveal this weekend. Its funny how some weeks there is nothing to say and others where there are lots of finishes. I'll be checking out Granny Square.
