What did you do on the weekend?
I’ve made a start on the Color Palette Challenge
1. Sewn Strips
2. Freezer paper
3. Appliquéd
4. Wondering what to do next
And I discovered The Scrap Attack Quilt-Along at Stitched in Colour.
I know I’m very late to the party on this one – it was posted in the New Year when I had sick children and no internet.
Now, I don’t have masses of scraps but when I started quilting, in July, I bought a bundle of scraps from ebay. I’ve used up some of them but I have quite a few left. They are mostly approx 4 inches wide and the majority of them are pink (not a colour I would choose!). They annoy me because they are always mixing themselves up I don’t manage to keep fabrics organised well and whenever I think I’m going to do something with them I can never find the right number of the size I’m looking for. So I think the The Scrap Attack Quilt-Along is just the thing to get rid of them put them to good use.
So I trimmed them all to 4 inches wide
(This is what I had left over).
And sewed them all together. It looks like a very long line to me but probably really only two or three lengths long.
Now I have to decide what to do with them.
I’m thinking of the Sparkle Quilt Along at In Color Order
Perhaps I’ll see how far thee go and make up some more scrap blocks in different colours.
What does anyone think?
Happy Sewing!

Great start to the palette challenge! I don't think you're that late to the scrap party. Doesn't it go to March? I thought about making something for it, but don't know what and probably shouldn't add anything else. I do have my pieces cut for the Sparkle QAL though. I would be interested in seeing a scrappy version of it.

The hare is looking great. The pinks could be used as binding! At least they are in a usable shape now? Wish my weekend had been as productive
