Merry and Bright

Well, suddenly, it’s 2026 already!

The eighth day of Christmas and, ideally, time for maids-a-milking but all I have to share is a glimpse of the festive decorations become they all come down on Twelfth Night.

I finished one Stocking at the eleventh hour and the building materials went out of the house in the nick of time but I must still complete the other and, hopefully, the newest baby won’t mind hers being a little late.

The Makery was minimally decorated with a Merry Christmas garland across the window…

…and a rearranging of the letters on the wall.

And I had great expectations of changing them to spell out some quite wonderful 2026 Rainbow Hare resolution but I’ve not had time to think of anything else, and here we are on January 1st, so Merry and Bright it is!

Wishing you a very happy New Year!

Merry and Bright is quite fitting, I think. All of your decorations certainly made me think so. I also realized I should plan to make some holiday decor for my Makery, since I have none! I enjoyed seeing all of your lovely decorations!

Lovely photos Janine, I think your Christmas decorations in The Makery are just right! We finally moved house on December 23rd, so haven’t even found the boxes of Christmas decorations amongst the dozens currently sitting in the garage :)

And here I am, nine days later, finally wishing you a Merry & Bright season! Your cakes are beautifully decorated, as is your home and your Makery. It was lovely to see all the fun touches of charm and whimsy and beauty throughout your home. And Happy New Year!
