Effervescent (+Walking with Poppy)

August already!

Time for another Endeavourers quarterly reveal and this time the theme was Effervescent.

After my Circus Horse, last time, several people mentioned the Cirque du Soleil

I hadn’t heard of it before but, from my first glimpse on You Tube, I was enthralled and I eventually decided to take that as my inspiration for this sister quilt – The Effervescent Baths!

The bubbles were a bit of a challenge but it was a fun quilt to sew.

With the embossed bubbles, I machine sewed first, then stitched my bubble outline with variegated thread and finally stuffed the circles from the back and added the curve details.

Here, it has been lovely weather for swimming too but we have, mainly, been harvesting vegetables and dog walking!

I hope you enjoy the rest of the Summer but first, please visit The Endeavourers and see the wonderful quilts other members of the group have made this quarter :)

(If you subscribe to my blog by email, firstly, thank you :) Secondly, I really recommend you view the web version because otherwise you end up with a random scramble of photos and I don’t know how to stop that happening).

I just love this! That center figure in action complements and brings liveliness to the scene, with bubbles and motion everywhere. A very successful Endeavorer Challenge for you — congrats!

Thank you for your nice comment. Indeed, translation can sometimes be difficult. :))) I know it very well.

A good help is for me going on CHROME, by the way.

…and I love again your needle work.

    Greetings by Heidrun
