In November, when I made my last Endeavourers quilt, I invested in a sizzix machine and a second hand circle die from Ebay (because I thought I would never be accurate enough with hand cutting) and I also received a selection of other dies including this 9″ Double wedding ring block. I wanted to try it out but I don’t think I have the time or patience to make a whole quilt with it so, when I heard about the SAHRR on Wendy’s blog, I decided to join in and use it to cut the pieces for my centre block.

It is a bit big but, after considering using 1 or 4 blocks, I felt I needed these 9 to get the benefit of the pattern. Luckily there are no quilt police!

(Apologies for the photos – indoor light at this time of year, here, is not the best)
Today I am linking up my centre block with Gail @ Quilting Gail and I will be visiting each of the SAHRR co-host bloggers, and anyone else who has linked up, to see their centre blocks. Then I will be following this schedule and adding a border a week…
- January 22: 1st Round: Wendy @ Pieceful Thoughts of My Quilting Life
- January 29: 2nd Round: Anja @ Anja Quilts
- February 5: 3rd Round: Emily @ The Darling Dogwood
- February 12: 4th Round: Brenda @ Songbird Designs
- February 19: 5th Round: ME!!! @ Quilting Gail
- February 26: 6th Round: Kathleen @ Kathleen McMusing
- March 18: Parade: showing all of your finished SAHRRs!
I’m really looking forward to seeing how these quilts all grow over the next couple of months.
Happy Sewing!

(If you subscribe to my blog by email, firstly, thank you :) Secondly, I really recommend you view the web version because otherwise you end up with a random scramble of photos and I don’t know how to stop that happening).
