Welcome to another Wool on Sundays and thank you all very much for the lovely comments on my jumper last week :)
As yet, I still don’t have a modelled photo but when I was looking through my yarn for the jumper I did find that, despite my conviction in this post, I actually had some Drops Karisma in Green Mix after all. People tell me that I can expect this sort of thing to happen more and more as I get older :( I will still need to invest in some for the Rustic Lace Blanket, at some point, but there was enough to finish up the Colour Block Lap Blanket, last seen borderless and modelled by Mrs Hare back in October.
I made a simple fairly small border because I didn’t want to get half way through a pattern and run out again!

The centres of the ‘flower’ blocks are the same as the Rustic Lace pattern and everything else is done in V stitch, which I learn’t from the wonderful crochet stitch alphabet series at Craft and other Crazy Plans.
I hope you are keeping warm and finding some time for a little yarn now and then :)
If you have any wool/yarn posts to share, I’d love you to link up. The rules, as usual, are: 1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings or photos – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn. 2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics. 3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up. 4). MOST IMPORTANT visit anyone else who links.

Hi Janine! Your lap blanket is gorgeus and I love to see it on the table! Why we don’t start to use them as table cloths, too! I wrote today mixed post and Miss Moose is knitting her long scarf. I don’t know if you approve to link that. Have a lovely day! x Teje

I understand totally those ‘senior’ moments. =) Love your lap blanket. The flower blocks look lovely intermingled throughout and that border is gorgeous!

YAY a beautiful finish! Don’t you love it when you find you have just enough of “insert product of choice” here to finish a project without having to run to the store (or without having to run to the computer to order something online, lol) – this worked out perfectly for you :) How big is it?

I thought the Colour Block blanket looked nice already when you didn’t have a border on it, now it looks amazing. Great that you found some of the yarn. I don’t call it old age, I call it finding unexpected treasure :)
