Wool on Sundays – 127 (Autumnal)

Welcome to Wool on Sundays and a special thank you to everyone who has been telling me about the age of steam in their part of the world :)

rainbowhareEverything, here, is turning decidedly Autumnal, woolwise and otherwise. An upside is that outside everything is so beautiful but a downside is that taking UK indoor Winter photos is feat I’ve never managed to accomplish. I thought a lamp might help but it actually made things worse!

My recent crochet, which is going to be a lap blanket, is slowly growing…

Not quite in these colours but in warm colours, which I hope will look cosy and snug in the colder months.

And because it is not going to be very big there is some chance of me finishing it next week or, perhaps, the week after.

If you have any wool/yarn posts to share, I’d love you to link up. The rules, as usual, are: 1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings or photos – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn. 2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics. 3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up. 4). MOST IMPORTANT visit anyone else who links.

What a lovely piece that’s going to be. I actually like the photo with the lamp, even though the colors may not be right on. It reminds me of old oil lamps shining. I’ll be linking later this week, as I don’t do needlework on Sunday, but I DO have a wool project going on – two, in fact.

Perfect colours for fall, and the blocks with the flower inserts (I’m sure there’s a better name for them, but that’s what they look like to me :D) are awesome bling!

The lap blanket will be wonderful. We like to use afghans in the colder months. Terry is always freezing. I will be picking up my temperature afghan again soon. I see high temps of 60 in the 7 day forecast so freezing is just around the corner!

I too, love the picture with that cool lamp, though the rays from the sun is always a plus. =) The lap blanket is going to be lovely, I love the autumnal colours. Have a lovely week, Janine.
