Welcome to Wool on Sundays!
Do you find that small yarn projects sometimes go SO slowly? It’s a wonder to me that I could make a fair amount of progress in a jumper or cardigan in the time it takes me to make a single small item. This little doll, who I am calling Anya, is my latest attempt to make some ‘real’ things to sell at Christmas.
She is a peg doll/clothes pin doll with wellington boots, a silk dress and a knitted cape.
Anya was experimental from start to finish but now I’ve made her it should be quicker and simpler to make some more..
And at 5 1/2″ high she is probably small enough to be a decoration or a little crafting companion.

Wishing you a happy and yarnful week :)

If you have a recent yarn post, I’d love you to link up. The rules as usual are: 1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings or photos – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn. 2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics. 3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up. 4). Your Anya is a whole lot of teeny tiny gorgeousness, isn't she!! How on earth did you create her sweet wardrobe?? AND…those shoes, the perfect finish for her pretty outfit. Your Anya and her friends will be flying off your stall. Prepare yourself, Janine, for the madding crowd as they will be flocking around you for a hit of sweet Christmas cheer. =)

Such a sweet little doll, although she took so long to make I'm sure the time was all worth while and whoever receives these as gifts will cherish them :)

she is brilliant! I'm usually freaked out by dolls, but I LOVE this one. Did you make the body and the wellies too?

Oh my — I agree that these would be a great seller – I would have LOVED having such a sweetie when I was a little girl! Actually, it would be nice if the coat came in adult sizes :D
