Welcome to Wool on Sundays – 71. I’m sorry for my absence if you came by last week and if you are waiting on an email reply from me. I’ve had a ridiculous week of literally driving more than sleeping – something which looks set to carry on for the next few days but, hopefully, I’ll get back nearer to normal towards the end of the week :(
I haven’t managed a stitch this week but, below, is the post I tried to schedule for last week, which didn’t post itself, most likely because the internet disconnected as it is still wont to do, despite the pre-election assurances of our imminent high speed broadband from our local councillor, who has now now learned we have ‘long stretches of copper wires’!?

Back in February, I began making Granny’s Paperweight blocks, inspired by
ericka eckles, and using
Drops Safran yarn. In my original post (
War, Peace and Hexies) I planned to make a blanket but I soon changed my mind and decided to make a seat for this box instead.
At last it is finished!
And here it is with the other crochet cushions I’ve made while the paperweight seat was in its long UFO phase. I used the same
Drops Safran – a 4ply cotton yarn – for all of them and my aim was to make them co-ordinating but not looking too matchy matchy.
Whether you have finished or unfinished UFOs or any other kind of yarn project, I’d love you to link up with WOOL ON SUNDAYS. The rules as usual are: 1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings or photos – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn. 2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics. 3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up. 4). Visit anyone else who links. Wishing you a happy week :)

What a pretty, inviting corner to sit. The hexagons on the seat cover really show off the lovely colours of the yarns. Sorry I've nothing to contribute this week but I love looking at all the projects which are linked.

Oh that is so stunning, droolworthy actually. I really need to learn crochet properly as I would love to have a hand project like this.
