Wool on Sundays – 43 (a new beginning)

Welcome to Wool on Sundays 43! And Welcome back GMT! After a week of yarnlessness, today we have an extra hour and I have used it to reacquaint myself with my 3.5mm crochet hook :)

In my last Wool on Sundays post, I was unravelling this…

I decided to keep the centre circles without any idea of what to do with them – a bag? A cushion? Then, last night it came to me. Something quick and improv and colourful – a cowl.

With a lighting that photographs like this (mercifully, it looks much better in real life)

I probably shouldn’t be too surprised that my crochet looks like this :(
But I seem to be going so slowly, craftwise, at the moment that I expect there will be plenty of opportunity for better lit progress pictures before it’s finished. I wonder if we could put the clocks back everyday…

Have you managed to find time for any yarnwork this week? If so, I’d love you to link up with WOOL ON SUNDAYS. The rules as usual are:

1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings or photos – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn.
2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics.
3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up.
4). Visit anyone else who links.

Wishing you a happy week :)

So happy that you and your crochet hook have got back together! It will be a gorgeous cowl if the joining of your lovely circles is anything to go by. Ooooh….love the li'l snippets of your gorgeous room and your light!! Love the light and the amazing patterns of reflection! I vote for an extra hour every day….but me thinks I need two!

I'm looking forward to more progress pictures.
Getting the extra hour is so much nicer than losing it. It takes me a week or two to adjust to daylight savings time. We are in Spring and having a particularly warm day today. Apparently it is going to reach 36 degrees Celsius (97 degrees Fahrenheit). Not really knitting weather :)
