Welcome, again, to Wool on Sundays!
When I started Wool on Sundays, I little expected the weather would be so seriously limiting my ability to read or write blog posts or keep in touch by email. In fact, were it not for the linky party, I may have stopped blogging altogether during these last couple months. Apparently, our internet issues are going to be properly sorted out this week. We shall see…

On the bright side, I’ve had a bit more time for making things and, this week, I’ve managed to finish a cardigan. Just after Christmas, our washing machine started eating our clothes, leaving me in need of a nothing-special-wear-around-the-house-and-in the-garden type cardigan. I found a
Pattern at Garn Studio and ordered some Drops Karisma to go with some I had already (an unstarted sock plan) but whilst I was waiting for it to arrive, I found some
Stylecraft Life at £2.99 for 100g in my LYS and, being impatient, I decided to give it a try. It’s 75% acrylic and 25% wool and, compared with natural fibres, it doesn’t feel or look great but it’s actually ended up looking better than I feared whilst I was knitting it.

I couldn’t get the stylecraft to knit to the tension of the Drops Pattern so I had to borrow and adapt one from my mum’s pattern stash, which might make you smile!
Vintage – but not in a good way!
And, in need of colour therapy, I have started working on something else that looks a bit vintage in a nicer way. I’ll give you a peek because it will stop this post looking so very grey and gloomy…
Have your yarn projects gone to plan this week?
I’d love you to link up with WOOL ON SUNDAYS. The rules as usual are:
1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn.
2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics.
3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up.
4). Visit anyone else who links.
Wishing you a very happy week :)
