A meeting, a girl and a bird

On Friday I met up with the lovely Nicky from Mrs Sew and Sow in Lewes. We had tea, looked around an eclectic assortment of antique shops and enjoyed some uninterrupted browsing in The Patchwork Dog and Basket – no husbands or children asking “Haven’t you finished yet?”!!! Unfortunately neither of us took a working camera but if you pop over to Mrs Sew and Sow you can see some of the gorgeous fabric Nicky bought and her wonderful quilt which she also brought with her.

I was very frugal and just bought a piece of black felt, some white and cream thread and rather nice pair of angel embroidery scissors. I didn’t think to take a photo of my purchases but this is what I made with the felt…

A black felt bird and some boots are for this doll which I started last week…

…and, as promised, I also made her a dress, hair and a face and took her into the garden for a photo shoot!

Oh my goodness, those Dolly boots are insanely cute! Gorgeous Dolly too, but I think my feet are crying out for a pair of soft boots just like that LOL Thanks for popping by and linking up :)
