This is my submission piece for the April Color Palette Challenge.
This was the colour palette, selected by Vicki Welsh from Field Trips in Fibre and I did find these colours very challenging! For some reason the brown/orange combination is way outside my comfort zone.

I thought I’d try out this squared yin yang idea with these fabrics, as a sort of prototype, with a view to re-doing it in different colours if it worked. But to be honest it looks best from very far away so I’m reserving judgement for now. I was considering rainbow colours on one side and greys on the other but I think perhaps it’s too many small squares and might just end up looking muddy. What do you think?
For some wonderful ways of putting these colours together, why not visit
and see what everyone else has made :)

Love the yin-yang and the colours around it.
I like dark brown and orange. One of my bags have that mix.
