Wool on Sundays – 158 (A Flower Yoke Cardigan)

Welcome, again, to Wool on Sundays!

Wool on Sundays

Can you believe it’s November already? And at last, we are back in wool weather. Frosty nights and misty mornings and time for the crochet blankets to come out from their Summer hiding and for dark evenings knitting in the Makery.

You may remember this being knitted…and unknitted.

And now it is knitted again and, I think, this may be my favourite knitting ever, though perhaps I always think that about my latest finish :)

The rib is: (Right side) k1, p2 to last stitch k1 | (Wrong side) p1, k2 to last stitch p1

The texture is: (Right side) k1, p1 to last stitch k1 | (Wrong side) k to end

The yoke pattern was from a chart I found on pinterest, which didn’t lead to a source and I fitted it all (with a few adjustments) into the free ‘Afmæli – 20-year Anniversary Sweater’ by Védís Jónsdóttir.

The yarn is West Yorkshire Spinners Aire Valley Aran. I bought it in a sale and I believe the colours have been discontinued.

I’m thinking that by knitting and unknitting and re-knitting. I could probably avoid ever having to buy yarn again, We shall see :)

If you have any yarn themed posts, I’d love you to link up. The rules, as usual, are: 1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings or photos – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn. 2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and non-woollen fabrics. 3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS in or at the bottom of any posts you link up. 4). MOST IMPORTANT visit anyone else who links.

The next Wool on Sundays will be on Sunday 2nd December.
