This week I’m very late to the SAHRR linky party, which is over at Quilting Gail’s.

I was intending to make a wall quilt but my quilt is getting so big already (who could have guessed that!) that I have been wondering whether to try to keep it as small as I can or let it grow. I also had an idea that I wanted to make a circle of hares around my centre and I also need to turn it into a square at some point…so lots of indecision and not much sewing!
In the end, I found a bag of hexies from long ago, which I might be able to use for a border or something and made a strip of binding to turn it into a circle. The binding circle is yet to be sewn on the outer edge so I will trim the white and stitch it down to get a square, maybe in the next round…

Then I finally got to Gail’s prompt and started making my star blocks. They took a lot longer to make than I expected and I have yet to attach them but I’m starting to think I know what I’m doing with this now. Of course, tomorrow there will be a new prompt and all that could change!

Now I must hurry and visit Quilting Gail and see everyone else’s stars :)

Here is the SAHRR schedule:

(If you subscribe to my blog by email, firstly, thank you :) Secondly, I really recommend you view the web version because otherwise you end up with a random scramble of photos and I don’t know how to stop that happening).

Oh, I love those little stars, and don’t you love it when you find something in your stash like hexies that will work in this quilt! How cool is that?!

Oh, terrific! I love the stars and look forward to the place where they settle in. That binding is wonderful–a perfect delineation between spaces. This is turning out to be really interesting!
