Wool on Sundays – 185 (A knit in time)

Well this is a surprise – a Wool on Sundays post!

And another cake :)

My little Grandson grows faster than I can knit and, so far, the jumpers I have made him have barely been tried on before he has outgrown them.

So, given that he has just turned one year old, I thought I would outwit him by knitting him one in a two year old size. I expected it would be a bit big around Christmas and last him through the Spring next year…

But, it turns out, he can comfortably wear it now, weather permitting. It should last at least through the Autumn but it looks like I shall have get my needles out again before Christmas!

His Mummy also had a birthday and that called for another cake…

Meanwhile, over the hedge and all around, the hay is made and the evenings are drawing in, which is not the worst news for a knitter with a large and unruly garden.

Happy knitting, sewing or whatever you are doing :)

What a lovely jumper that is, I’m glad he’s going to be able to wear it for a couple of months. Shall I hope for a cold September so he gets loads of wear from it?! And the cake is beautiful too. Hooray for finishes *waves pompoms*

Hi Janine, love your grandson’s sweater. Looks like he’ll keep you busy for a while. I love unruly gardens…they are that by default! At least in my yard. Take care.
