Wool on Sundays – 22 (Duck,Duck, Goose)

Welcome to Wool on Sundays – 22. Thank you very much for the link ups last week and to everyone who stopped by.

After I’d re-arranged the crochet squares for the 174th time, I decided enough was enough and it was time to join them together. I’ve been joining from the back by crocheting together the outside halves of adjoining stitches. I don’t know if that makes sense.

After considering the other colours in my stash, I decided to stick with twelve blocks as this is quite big already and when I’ve finished joining (two lines to go) I’ll make a border.

I’m hoping this will be a finish by next week but I’ve said that before…
On another subject altogether, we went out yesterday to buy three khaki campbells and came back with two indian runner ducklings and a gosling…

If you have any wool or yarn projects to share, I’d love you to link up with WOOL ON SUNDAYS. The rules as usual are:

1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn.
2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics.
3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up.
4). Visit anyone else who links.

Wishing you a yarnful week :)

We had 2 runner ducks fly in last year. They must have been pets as they kept coming up to the conservatory doors and pecked the glass. So cute! They stayed a day or two then disappeared. I can't wait to see your blanket.

How big is your lovely-licious throw/afghan? I just love all those fun summery colours!

How perfect that Duck Duck Goose suits your photo tableau so perfectly – those little guys are adorable, lol! I want to pet them and then put them in a little swimming pool :) My sister lives on a lake – last winter (or fall? I can't remember) she – just by chance – was able to get a photograph of 7 swans together. In the lake. Of course she entitled the picture 7 Swans a Swimming. I don't think she could even have planned something that adorable – same with your little web-footed friends!

You are such a tease showing off a teenie bit of the afghan! I can't wait to see the whole thing once your finished – the colours look so pretty. Your critters need more photos :D have you bought them as pets? We would love chickens and ducks but our place is just a smidge too small.

It's interesting to see how you've joined your crochet blocks together. How cute are those ducks!! We recently got chickens and now I'd like to get some ducks too. Your photos make the idea even more tempting.

Your pieces are sitting flat so nicely after joining. I will have to give that joining method a try. 174?!! That made me laugh out loud :)

The duck, duck, goose are so cute!! The gosling is so much bigger than the ducklings and it is adorable to see them together.
