Wool on Sundays – 140 (Made in March)

Welcome (at last!) to the April edition of Wool on Sundays :)

We have had two major faults on our phone line fixed. The engineers have, however, recommended some ‘tree work’ and replacing a cable, which they say should be dealt with at some unspecified time when ‘the teams’ who do such things get to us…so perhaps truer to say it’s working for now!

This has all left plenty of time for knitting though and during the last month I managed to finish two pairs of socks (blogged here and here)…

…and two semi circular shawls. I have shown (and gifted for Mother’s Day) one already...

…and today’s tada is another one.

I feel these shawls are a bit of a party piece as they look rather complicated when they are really quite quick and simple to knit up.

Having enjoyed making the first one and being without internet, I thought making a second would be a good use of some drops baby merino, which I bought a while ago and was not the colour I had expected.

Hopefully, this month I will find a balance between blogging and knitting!

I hope you, too, had a yarnful March. The linky will stay open for one week and Wool on Sundays will be back on Sunday 7th May :)

If you have any wool/yarn posts to share, I’d love you to link up. The rules, as usual, are: 1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings or photos – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn. 2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics. 3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up. 4). MOST IMPORTANT visit anyone else who links.

I’m with nothingbutknit2 – I cringe @ the very thought of being netless – ouch! I hope your tree/cable work will get done before further problems occur (and that they’ll be done properly the first time around – I think we’ve all been through service repairs that didn’t go as smoothly as they should have!) :)

Lovely shawls – the turquoisey aqua’y colour of the 2nd one is quite luscious!

Lots of tada pretties here, Janine. Those shawls are gorgeous. I do not believe for one minute these are easy to knit. Cute photo of you. So happy you are hooked up to the world again. =)

Marvelous shawls, Janine! They look quite complicated indeed.
I also like your socks, wish I could knit a bit better then I’d give it a try myself :-)
    Glad that you’re back online!
    Have a great day, Sigrid

The shawls are gorgeous and I like the detailed photography of the lighter blue one. Looks such a lot of work so to manage 2 is really brilliant.

Gorgeous shawls and love the socks. We have a “thingy” from 3 that for £20 gives a month of wifi anywhere. We use it on holiday but worth the initial investment (£30?) if you are going to keep having problems
