Wool on Sundays – 123 (A Helping Hand)

Welcome to another Wool on Sundays :)

You may remember that before I went wandering about the North West of England with my camera (pictures in my Wandering Camera post) our garden really didn’t look too bad…

When we got back, it looked like this :(

Now, with Mr RH and I working day and night (well, not really night), it is looking like this…

So we are actually ahead in the garden for the time of year, which is a good thing in itself, but it has left no time for yarn projects and I feared I would have nothing woolly to post about this Sunday. But then, this afternoon, whilst I was planting the Winter Onions and Broad Beans, I looked up…

…and saw that Mrs Hare had come outside to sit in a shady spot under the oak.

At first I thought she must be mixing a cake but when I went over to see if she would like a cup of tea (not that I’ve ever known her to decline a cup of tea) I saw she had the wool I unravelled from my disastrous attempt at a crochet cardigan, which I mentioned I had abandoned last week.

Mrs Hare said that she knew I’d been trying to get a cardigan made before the cold weather comes (something which she feels certain won’t be too long now) and, as I haven’t had much time lately, she has decided to knit one for me.

She really is such a delight to have around :)

Do you have any yarn makes or stories to share this week?

If so, I’d love you to link up. The rules, as usual, are: 1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings or photos – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn. 2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics. 3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up. 4). MOST IMPORTANT visit anyone else who links.

No yarning going on around here right now, but our weather is turning a bit cooler so I feel it won’t be long until I’m itching to catch up on the rows of my temperature afghan. Perhaps you could send Mrs. Hare over. Does she crochet too?
