Welcome to Wool on Sundays – 104 and thank you to everyone who visited last week :)
I find this is not the best time of year for yarn. There is so much work in the garden that whenever I’m home and it’s not raining I feel I should be trying to make some impact on the vegetable plots and the brambles before they start to spiral out of control. And, although we’ve had more frosty mornings this month than throughout the last Winter, it’s hard to feel enthusiastic about warm jumpers and socks with Spring just beginning to spring. Added to this, we’ve just been away for two days taking my daughter to York and I forgot to take any knitting or crochet with me.
But I come across this rather crumpled UFO, which I never did blog about, although I have shown the hare and flower before. I had an idea a while ago to try some freeform crochet and make this into a picture/cushion cover but I can’t help thinking that the sum is less than all the parts. I can’t 100% decide whether this is just the ‘getting worse before it gets better’ stage or whether carrying on would just be a waste of yarn…I’m 90% thinking unravelling the blue, green and brown and doing something else with the hare and flower is the best way to. Any suggestions are very welcome :)
Have you been working on any yarn projects this week?

I love it. I have drawn a design that I want to attempt but haven’t yet dared to. Don’t pull it down, when you’re not expecting it you will all of a sudden know what to do with it! :)

Awwwwwwww the flower and the bun are sweet – I’m sure you’ll figure out just the right way to showcase their cuteness :D I think during your last Wool on Sundays post I mentioned that I had bought some yarn for a friend – I gave it to her yesterday and told her that if she didn’t like the colour (it was turquoise and green variegated yarn, SO delicious) I would be happy to keep it. Alas, she loved it, LOL! I may pick some up for myself for fondling purposes! ;)

I love it Janine, so I will be interested to see how it turns out…whether just the hare and flower remain in the completed project, or the ‘whole’?

Your free form crochet is cool. Whatever you decide to do or not to do, I am certain it will be imaginative and clever. =)

Hi Janine, I tried linking my woolly post of this week to your link up, but alas it wasn’t successful. It isn’t appearing at the bottom of your post. :(

I think your piece looks beautiful! If I may suggest – replace the brown with some other colour or remove it all together. Just using the blue and green might brighten the piece a lot more. Hope this helps :)
