Wool on Sundays – 100 (The Centenary)

Welcome to the 100th edition of Wool on Sundays!

DSCN0532

In Wool on Sundays – 1, when I said “I’ve decided to start WOOL ON SUNDAYS. From Monday to Saturday each week Rainbow Hare will carry on unchanged with my usual mix of sewing quilting and random and I’ll save anything related to wool or yarn for Sundays…if you have a post of your own which includes felt or yarn arts of any kind you are very welcome to pop along to my Sunday posts and link up :)” I couldn’t in a million years have expected that it would end up virtually taking over my blog and propel me into knitting so many clothes (six cardigans, eight pairs of mittens, six pairs of socks and a scarf)…

…or learning to crochet (goodness knows how many things!)…

…let alone all the miscellaneous yarn/wool related small people and garlands and decorative items…

But most of all, I never for a moment expected it would carry on for 100 posts with lovely people commenting and linking up every week.

Mr Sheep

So to celebrate and to say thank you to you all, I am having a small giveaway, which is open to everyone who follows Rainbow Hare. I know not everyone who visits Wool on Sundays knits or crochets so if you win you can choose your prize from the following options:

  1. A selection of yarns.
  2. A small bundle of quilting fabrics.
  3. A small item handmade by me.
  • For one chance to win, please leave a comment telling me how you follow Rainbow Hare and which prize you would like if you win.
  • If you have previously commented on a Wool on Sundays post, please leave a second comment.
  • And if you are linking up this week or if you have linked up a post with Wool on Sundays in the past, please leave a third comment.

[In the endless battle against spam, comments for this site are set so I have to authorise the first comment you make here. Any comment you make after I have authorised you will show up straight away. I’m sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.]

As usual, of course, I’d love you to link up. The rules are: 1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings or photos – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn. 2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics. 3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up. 4). MOST IMPORTANT Visit anyone else who links.

Congratulations Janine, on your 100th anniversary. It is a delight visiting you each week to see what gorgeous woolly you are knitting or crocheting. I love, love, love your crochet pretties.I love the dancing, colourful way you imagine all those glorious makes. Your crochet is a triumphant….I still can’t believe you have been crocheting for just a little while. As for which giveaway to choose; any would be wonderful….BUT….I must admit a small pretty created by your magic fingers would be rather special. =) Thank you so much for taking the time and effort each Sunday, in having Wool on Sundays, I do love to visit your place!

I’ve loved your wool on sundays posts. It encouraged me to get back into knitting, myself (even though I am currently knitting something that is frustratingly slow and demotivating). Thanks for the chance to win a prize, I follow you on my blogger reading list. I would love the handmade gift if I won.

Woooohoooo congrats on 100 posts, and on all your pretty finishes! I don’t know if I’ve seen WoS from the start, but I’ve certainly enjoyed (and envied, LOL) seeing your beautiful projects :)
