Wool on Sundays – 87 (mostly about sausage dogs)

Thank you for visiting Wool on Sundays 87.

I hope you are finding some time to knit or crochet or sew, if that’s what you like you do :)

I seem to have started lots of little things lately and I thought it was about time I finished something so everything in this post has appeared in progress on previous Sundays.

This lady now has a sheep and a hanger…
But mostly. I’ve been trying to think of what to do with the sausage dogs, last seen a month ago without ears…
I was at a bit of a loss  about what to do with them until I found granny squares seemed to suit them.
So I made them some coats and tried to make one into a hanging decoration with a recently finished girl…
But, really, the dogs are a bit big so they went to play in a bowl of wool whilst I made three granny squares for three more in-progress dogs and pondered what to do with them once they are finished…
But once I’d made the three granny squares, instead of finishing the dogs, I made another granny square. And then another and then one more…
And so it went on.
I think that’s how it goes sometimes with Granny squares…

Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics. 3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up. 4). Those colourful granny squares suit your sausage dogs very, very well, Janine. Your doggies are oozing with charm. I guess when it comes down to it granny squares are just so addictive.

Well the doxies look adorable with their little granny square coats – at first glance I thought they were horses with saddles, lol! Your lady is well dressed for a walk on the moors with her favourite sheep to keep her company :) The doxies can guard the yarn – and then maybe one of them can guard the granny squares! ;)

The dog looks cute hanging next to the girl.

I really like the colours in that bowl full of granny squares, I look forward to seeing what they become (or will they all become dog jackets, eventually?)

Another wonderful post Janine, I don't crochet but I keep trying to learn, ultimately I always go back to knitting but I really do like your Granny Square Sausage Rolls (Ooops I mean Sausage Dogs) ;-)
