Wool on Sundays – 75 (Growing)

Today we are going out for a family meal to celebrate the birthday of my father, who is 75 this year and, by coincidence, I noticed this is the 75th Wool on Sundays. It seems we are all growing older a lot faster than my blanket (inspired by The Coco Rose Diaries) is growing!

Last week, week we spent four days, as volunteers, working at and Art Festival and, thinking I was being really organised, I took it with me to do in the tent during odd free times but, unfortunately, I found it soon got too dark in the evenings to see properly to join the rounds. I’d have been ok with a row pattern or fine with knitting so I must remember that for future camping trips.

To begin with I’m aiming for a 9 x 9 block square and I think four of these should give me a 6′ square. Hopefully, it will reach that stage by the Winter and we can start using it and then I may make more blocks or do something different for the border…
How is your Summer crafting going?

If you have any yarn projects on the go, I’d love you to link up with WOOL ON SUNDAYS. The rules as usual are: 1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings or photos – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn. 2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics. 3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up. 4). Visit anyone else who links. Wishing you a happy week :)

Happy special birthday to your father. I hope you all had a wonderful celebration. I'm just back from Suffolk so no crafting for me this week but I check out your linked posts. Have a great week too.
