Once in a while, I see something and I just have to drop everything and make it (more often I just pin it and forget about it) and so it was with the sweet tea pot pincushion from Join the Mood. Manuela has even posted a very clear step by step tute so you can make one too!
I used these (already quilted) scraps from Granny Square’s caravan, and my only regret is that I don’t like the way the dots get cut in half and I think a smaller print, like Manuela’s one, would probably be better.
But it’s a very cheerful make! Perhaps I’ll make some more…

Pre-washed – no shrinkage but significant colour bleeding |
My only other sewing project last week was to pre wash some linen and cut out the pattern for the Merchant Mills dress. Hopefully, this week, I’ll find time to sew it together…
————————–
My Sewing WIP this week is:
Started – 1 (Tea pot pincushion)
Some Progress – 1 (the Merchant Mills Shirt Dress – pre-washing fabric and cutting out pattern pieces)
No Progress – 1 (Vintage tablecloth project)
Finished – 1 (Tea pot pincushion)

Happy Sewing!

That is very cute! I've prewashed fabric for garment making this week too but I don't know when I will have time to cut it out, let alone sew it together!

The teapot pincushion will be joining my list of “to do” projects- so cute! You've also reminded me that I need to prewash some batiks too for a class in a few weeks. Have a great Bank Holiday weekend.
