Wool on Sundays – 58 (A Yellow Cardigan?)

Welcome to Wool on Sundays – 58! And thank you to everyone who linked up or stopped by last week :)

This week I’ve taken a break from the mittens. You may remember that last week I said my pin of the chart had disappeared. I actually assumed I’d misplaced it but but, afterwards, I received a message from pinterest saying I had done nothing wrong (I re-pinned from another pinner) but the owner of the chart had asked for it to be removed from pinterest. So it turns out it really had disappeared, which leaves me wondering if I should carry on with that pattern…

I’m also taking a break from posting about the hexies. I am still working on them from time to time but it’s all looking about the same as last week. It has now become more time consuming though because I’m having to consider every colour and placement for each new hexagon, rather than just listening to the radio and churning them out so I have begun a new project for those little odd times whilst the dinner is burning cooking itself or I’m too tired to concentrate well.

Long ago, in Wool on Sundays – 4, I showed a cardigan. It’s a Drops Pattern, which I wouldn’t have looked twice at on Garn Studio, where it appears in beige, but I just loved the version from Well Done for You when I came across it on pinterest. Then I forgot all about it until this week. Having decided to keep my cotton Hexies as a seat cover and make a blanket in wool, I had ordered a skein of Cascade Heritage in Butter because I really wanted a few more colours to go with the Fabel and there isn’t a yellow in the Fabel range. But when it arrived I immediately remembered that cardigan. I’d never dreamt of making a yellow cardigan but somehow this yellow and that cardigan…I haven’t altogether made up my mind whether it’s a horrible dirty yellow or a beautiful not-to-bright, mellow and will-go-with-everything yellow.
