Wool on Sundays – 10 (Paris – odds and ends)

Welcome and thank you for visiting Wool on Sundays! And thank you very much to everyone who left such lovely comments on my post last week :)

I can’t believe this is the tenth Wool on Sundays already!

This week I couldn’t really settle to anything yarny. I made my first Granny Square partly because, after the Rainbow blanket, a granny square seemed like the next step in the crochet journey and partly because I’ve got odds and ends of the Drops Paris to use up, but I’m not sure that I want to make a whole granny square blanket just yet and I definitely want to break the cycle of running out and re-ordering once a week! And I might prefer my next crochet blanket to be a bit woollier…

I tried knitting the Paris to see if I prefered the effect and I was quite pleased with it for home dec but probably not to wear…

And I tried some flowers and triangles but I thought they were really too clunky and would look a lot better in a thinner yarn…
So I made a Granny doll to wear them…

I’ve been enjoying the colourfulness of it all anyway, even if I don’t have anything very useful to show :D

If you have any yarn projects this week, colourful or not, I’d love you to link up with WOOL ON SUNDAYS. The rules as usual are:

1). Posts must include some content – makes or musings – related to knitting, crochet, felting, spinning or yarn.
2). Projects sewn from felt or wool fabric or stitchery using wool are also welcome but please don’t link posts that are exclusively about sewing, quilting and fabrics.
3). Posts don’t have to be from the past week but please put a link to WOOL ON SUNDAYS or grab the button from my sidebar and include it in or at the bottom of any posts you link up.
4). Visit anyone else who links.

Wishing you a very happy week :)

Love your crochets cushion cover. After seeing your granny blanket I am attempting to make a wrap around cushion cover in bright purple. I'll let you know how I get on with it.
I'm loving the rainbow knitting, it's gorgeous and I could quite easily have that hanging up just as it is.
