Progressing…

It seems like a long time since I’ve written a WIP post but I’m glad to say I’m WIP-ing again!

I’ve got two finishes – some blocks for Rosa, my bee friend in Scrappy? Sew Bee it! which is based on this quilt at Red Pepper. And two very simple cushions made from half a yard of Melody Miller’s View Finder from Ruby Star Rising. When I finished the first one I thought one of my daughters would like it but I fell in love with it too so I made another one for me!

The backs are klona and have a simple zip fastening. Lately I’ve been making pillowcase cushion backs but this was just as quick and used less fabric. Why don’t I use zips more often?

Now in progress, I have finally cut into this Trade Winds (by Lily Ashbury for Moda) which I bought back in the Summer when I was lucky enough to win a competition hosted by Jenna from Sew Happy Geek.

Today a bunch of hsts, hopefully soon a quilt top.

Now I’m going to link up with Lee at Freshly pieced for WIP Wednesday. It’s being hosted today by Svetlana who blogs at S.O.T.A.K handmade.

Love those block- the little bright squares are just wonderful. And the pillows are lovely, too! I feel like all I want to do lately is make pillows :)
