What did you do on the weekend?
I’ve made a start on the Color Palette Challenge
1. Sewn Strips
2. Freezer paper
4. Wondering what to do next
I know I’m very late to the party on this one – it was posted in the New Year when I had sick children and no internet.
Now, I don’t have masses of scraps but when I started quilting, in July, I bought a bundle of scraps from ebay. I’ve used up some of them but I have quite a few left. They are mostly approx 4 inches wide and the majority of them are pink (not a colour I would choose!). They annoy me because they are always mixing themselves up
I don’t manage to keep fabrics organised well and whenever I think I’m going to do something with them I can never find the right number of the size I’m looking for. So I think the The Scrap Attack Quilt-Along
is just the thing to get rid of them
put them to good use.
So I trimmed them all to 4 inches wide
(This is what I had left over).
And sewed them all together. It looks like a very long line to me but probably really only two or three lengths long.
Now I have to decide what to do with them.
Perhaps I’ll see how far thee go and make up some more scrap blocks in different colours.
What does anyone think?
